To coincide with Doyle & Doyle’s move to the Meatpacking District, we’ve introduced a capsule collection of jewelry that celebrates finding our new home. Industrial and luxe, rough and polished, the West 13th Collection reflects the history and changing face of our new neighborhood. Designed by our own Elizabeth Doyle, each piece is handmade right here in New York.
Since it’s Engagement Ring of the Week day, there’s no better place to start than with the beautiful North Star diamond ring. The sparkling Round Brilliant cut diamond sits in an openwork gallery, the sides studded with small diamonds at the compass points. From the top, it’s a classic style that pays homage to the the vintage rings we love so much. But from the side, it reveals a modern sensibility, both streamlined and ornately detailed.
The Collection also features a pair of necklaces, the North Star locket and Compass Rose pendant. Both pieces are fashioned in blackened sterling silver or a combination of sterling and 18k gold. A tiny diamond glitters in the center of each star. In addition to the compass rose helping a traveler find true north, in the case of our Compass Rose pendant, it’s also a nod to our new Doyle & Doyle logo.
The Globe, Armillary, and North Star earrings hearken back to the ancient navigational system of reading the stars. The final drop of the the Armillary earrings, created in polished sterling silver, features a dimensional 18k gold star in the center. Used to chart the longitude and latitude of important celestial bodies, the armillary sphere was first invented in ancient Greece.
We’re so excited to welcome you to our new home and share the inspiration and story behind the West 13th Collection. With Thanksgiving and the holidays right around the corner, it’s the perfect time to stop by, so let the North Star guide you west to our door!
